The Cult of Factory

Under pressure; and out of time (and mind)

I'm waiting for the world to wake up or rather
finding ways to avoid that abrupt 'start' in the
hope that when the moment arrives.. it will be
what i want..

avoidance is easy..

thinking every day, this will work.. but then by
the time i get 'the time' i have already convinced
myself why it won't.. because it didn't last time..
..did it..?

not every painting becomes a masterpiece but sometimes
the throwaway gestures become a surprising thing of beauty

and a thing of beauty is a joy forever.

  1. It seems like I have to continuously learn that in order to have a masterpiece I gotta allow plenty of space for those surprises. I like that you wrote "a thing of beauty is a joy forever" something to store in our memory banks and revisit often :)

  2. Yeah.. I think giving yourself that much needed space is very important.. we get to cramped in and blinkered by our own styles and methods..

by the way, then quote is from Book 1 of Endymion by John Keats.

  4. Avoidance is easy.
    Making an effort is hard.
Remember your words from the beginning of the year.

"One of my new years resolutions was to not let things pass me by and make more of an effort..."

I have taken your words to heart, and I have tried to use them.
    (with mixed results...)

This is real. Everyday is a victory but not always a masterpiece.
