reproductive futurism–the social mythology figurally linking temporal movement toward the future with heterosexual fecundity

One of the great modern masterpieces of cinema used to a more productive art form
utilising a subdued palette to represent 'that suspension in time' and disconnection from
a moving frame. Suspended as Eli is in her own entropic frozen layered 12yr cycle.

I enjoy both the reference in the above articles to Eli as a direct opposite to the
'reproductive futurism' and also the comparison made to
'the healing of St. Thomas' (Anish Kapoor) both  in the metaphoric & aesthetic sense.
